Helen Myra Hale of Gladstone died Saturday of causes related to age. She was 88. At her request, there will be no service.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1904, in Rockwell City, Iowa. Her maiden name was Fitch. She grew up in Shelly, Idaho, where she married Leo Hale in January 1938. He died in 1980. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Oregon. She had lived in Galdstone since 1947.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Navy Mothers organization and had been a den mother in the Cub Scouts.
She is survived by a son, Evan, of Oregon City.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the American Cancer Society.
