OREGON CITY, Or., Nov 7. -(Special) - Funeral rites for Samuel Preston Ballard, 73, late of 948 Clinton street, Portland, were conducted by Rev. Frank L. Lehman today in the Holman & Pace chapel. Burial was in the Odd Fellows plot in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were members of Oregon lodge No. 3.
Mr. Ballard who died in a Portland hospital Saturday, leaves a daughter, Mrs. Lois Marr of Portland, and a half brother, Grant Olds of Gladstone. He was a native of Ohio.
