Mr. Lewis Franklin Bell, Rt. 4, near Jefferson, husband of Mamie Remsburg Bell, died Saturday, Nov. 24, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore.

Born in Frederick, Nov. 30, 1921, he was a son of the late Summerfield and Effie Mae Umberger Bell.

Surviving besides his wife are: two children, Louis Richard Bell, of Mt. Pleasant and Mrs. Charlotte Ann Wolfe, of Walkersville.

One stepson, Melvin Hamburg, of Frederick; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Emma Channey, of St. Petersburg, Fla; and one foster daughter, Miss Galine Virginia Ford, of Rt. 4, near Jefferson; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Dorothy Bell, of Frederick, Miss Edna Bell, of Frederick, Mrs. Grace Dunn, of Mansville, Ohio, and Ralph Bell of Frederick, also survive.

Fifteen grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Bell was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fredrick, and was employed by the Kline Paving Co. of Frederick.

Friends may call at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, 1201 North Market St. on Monday, Nov. 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, Nov. 27, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted from the funeral home , Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Carroll L. Boyer, pastor of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
