LARNED - A.A. Barger, 71, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned. Born Aug. 12, 1908, in Pawnee County he married Eleanor Nelson Nov. 7, 1931 at Garfield. She died June 6, 1979. He was a farmer and stockman.
He was a member of United Methodist Church, Garfield; Masonic Lodge, Larned; Kansas Livestock Association.
Survivors: sons: Larry, Glendale, Calif.; Bill, Garfield; sisters: Mrs. Vida Milliken, Mrs. Gladys Gehrke, Grace, all of Denver, Colo.; two grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned; the Rev. Dennis Kuder. Burial will be in Garfield Cemetery. Friends may call all day Thursday at the mortuary and from 9 until 5 p.m. Friday at the Barger home, Larned, and until service time Saturday at the mortuary. Family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society or St. Joseph Memorial Hospital, Larned.
