1907 at Galatia, he married Florence
Scheuerman April 10, 1933 at Hutchinson.
He was a retired farmer and
carpenter and lived here since 1932.
He was a member of the Lutheran
Church.

Survivors: widow, of the home;
son: Donald, Springfield, Mo.; daughters:
Ella Marie Steitz, Denver,
Colo.; Connie Erb, San Antonio,
Texas; brother: Richard, Ness City;
sisters: Martha Steinert, Otis; Rachel
Schrader, Utica; seven grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at
Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse;
the Rev. Kenneth H. Will and Father
Ultan Murphy. Burial in La Crosse
Cemetery. Friends may call 9 a.m.
until 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home. Family suggests memorials to
the church or the Bison E.M.T. fund

BISON - Florence Steitz, 93, died Jan. 10, 2008, at Hays Medical Center.

She was born June 21, 1914, northeast of La Crosse, the daughter of Jacob E. and Ella M. Schaumburg Scheuerman. A lifetime resident of Rush County, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to First Lutheran Church, La Crosse, and the Farmers Union Co-op, Bison.

On April 10, 1933, she married Constantine STEITZ in Hutchinson. He died April 24, 1979.

Survivors include: a son, Donald, Springfield, Mo.; two daughters, Ella Marie Steitz, Bison, and Constance Adell Erb, Schertz, Texas; a brother, Reuben Scheuerman Sr., Hingham, Mont.; a sister, Adaline L. Love, Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond D., Clarence K., Wesley R. and Kenneth Scheuerman.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Janousek Funeral Home Chapel, La Crosse, with Pastor Steven R. Little and Father Ultan Murphy presiding. Burial will be in La Crosse City Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home
