Robert Earl Allen was born on March 16, 1935 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Chester and Eula Allen, and departed this life July 5, 2012. He was the youngest of 7 children. He graduated from Bethany Nazarene College in 1957, and received his Master's degree from Central State University. He moved to Colorado to teach after getting married in 1959. He and Mary lived in Colorado from 1960-1963. They moved back to Oklahoma and taught at Okarche for 30 years.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband and father. He spent his life loving the Lord. He was actively involved in the Bethany Nazarene Church Choir for 44 years. In his retirement years, he loved to travel and spend time with his family. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Robert Mark Allen who lived in New York City. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary, and daughter, Dawn Michele Allen of Oklahoma City. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral service will be Monday, July 9, 2:00pm at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
