Josephine A. Sychak, 105, of Butler, passed away, Sunday December 31, 2023, at Concordia in Cabot.

She was born March 24, 1918 in Butler, a daughter of the late John Zambiski and Catherine (Solon) Zambiski.

Josephine was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora, the Ladies Guild at St. John's, also her Church bowling leagues. She had been a lifetime member of the Tanglewood Senior Center.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Gall of Butler and Cynthia Sychak-Berry (Charles) of Gibsonia.

7 grandchildren: Jon (Shannon) Gall, Jamie (Cari) Sychak, Sharilyn (Shon) Wright, John (Marrissa) Berry, Christopher Berry, Joshua Sychak and Megan (Brett) Nardi.

1 step granddaughter, Tammy (Ron) Henry.

7 great grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Sychak, Sr., he passed away July 10, 1984; her son, John J. "Jim" Sychak, Jr, he passed away January 12, 2001; 4 brothers and 6 sisters; a son-in-law, Leroy Gall.

There will not be a visitation. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 am, at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Avenue in Lyndora. The Rev, Radko Blichar, Pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Donations are requested to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 105 Kohler Avenue, Lyndora, PA 16045.
