Beloved son of Mary L & William P Burfoot of Rockville, Maryland. He is survived by two sons: Richard M Burfoot & Allan P Burfoot, Jr.; three granddaughters, whom he dearly loved; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Having grown up in Glenmont, Maryland, he attended Wheaton High, but graduated from Robert E. Peary High School in Rockville, Maryland.
Until his passing he was the highly recognized owner and operator of Potomac Lawn Care in Shepherdstown and acknowledged several times in the local papers.
Allan was a historian of the Civil War and had a passion for Bible history. He enjoyed the outdoors and wildlife that surrounded him. At his homeplace he would often have deer grazing in his yard.
Graveside service was Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Silver Spring, Md. He is buried with his parents who preceded him.
Arrangements were by Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg, West Virginia.
