James L. McKeever ~ 64, died April 20, 2005 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. Born March 13, 1941 in New Haven, he was the son of Beach and Margaret (Habig) McKeever. He was a LaOtto resident for the past 35 years. He married Betty L. Hollinger on March 21, 1959 in Garrett. He worked in shipping at Dana, Fort Wayne, for 38 years, retiring in 1982. He was a truck driver and helped his son-in-law in farming. He attended Wesley Chapel Church, Churubusco, and LaOtto Wesleyan. Surviving are his wife; daughters and son-in-law, Kay and Lon Fritz of LaOtto, and Melody and Claude Jr. Combs of Garrett; 4 granchildren and on great-grandchildren; a brother, Harold Barhydt of Detroit, Mich. Service April 25 at Thomas Funeral Home, Garrett. Burial, Cedar Chapel Cemetery.
