Marjorie Edith MacNaughton Orr was born in Bandera County, Texas to the late John Barbee MacNaughton and Edith Berle (Fee) MacNaughton. She grew up in Bandera County and went to school there. She and Robert C. Orr were married on April 1, 1945 at the First Baptist Church in Medina, Texas. While living in Bandera, she and Robert owned a bakery and she worked as Assistant County Clerk for Bandera County as well as being a homemaker. She did payroll for ALCOA in Point Comfort after they moved to Rockdale in 1951. Marjorie was a hard worker and active member for Meadowbrook Baptist Church. She was in charge of organizing Blood Drives in Rockdale for many years. Marjorie passed away on a Sunday night in Rockdale, having reached the age of 84 Years and 5 Days. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Charles Orr, Jr., her parents, John Barbee and Edith Berle MacNaughton; sister, Merle Dean MacNaughton Killion Sidlo; brothers, John Barbee MacNaughton and George Butler MacNaughton; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Orr Smith; and a niece, Edith Ann Smith Hager. Funeral services were held on October 20, 2010 at the Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale, Texas, Revs. Rick Hertless and Carl Hudson officiating. Burial followed in the I.O.O.F.
