Funeral services for Patsy Ladean McCauley, 68-year-old Whitesboro resident, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Huff Funeral Chapel in Whitesboro. Rev. Jody Dyer of Pathway Church in Whitesboro will officiate. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro under the direction of Huff Funeral Home.
She died Monday, September 19, 2005 in Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Born December 7, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John Leonard Phelps and Elfie Stubblefield Phelps. She married Joe Edd McCauley on August 1, 1957 in Sherman. He preceded her in death August 27, 2003. A member of the Baptist Church, she was a homemaker.
Survivors are 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Margie McCauley of Whitesboro, Mark and Donna McCauley of Weatherford, Texas, and Scott and Tammy McCauley of Whitesboro; 1 daughter, Teresa Knight of Whitesboro; 5 brothers, Orval Phelps of Gainesville, Virgil Phelps of Decatur, Texas, Dub Phelps of Winnie, Texas, Billy Phelps of Gordonville, and Robert Phelps of Callisburg; 5 sisters, Betty Slaton of Enid, Oklahoma, Vera Lou Burdg of Enid, Rhonda Tyler of Oak Ridge, Texas, Christine Garrett of Gainesville and Glenda Roberts of Whitesboro; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Edd McCauley; daughter, Stacy McCauley; brother, J.E. Phelps; and sister, Brenda Drain.
