Emily was the daughter of Amos Rosebrook and Honour Camp.

Around 1849 she married William Lawrence Willard. They lived in Cambridge, MA, where they had their one son, William Eugene, in 1850. In 1860 they had moved back to Brighton, VT where her husband died in 1868 and was a Hotel Keeper. In 1870 Emily was a Land Lady, and by the 1880s she was living in Maine where her son and grandson lived.

Emily was retired when she died in Portland. She was brought back to Brighton to be buried beside her husband.
