Lcpl Thomas Allen Jenkins, USMC. born in California with the family streaching back seven generations in Coulterville, CA. son of Tom and Joyce Jenkins. Graduated Mariposa County High School. Thom also had nicknames of "GI Jenkins" and "Indiana Jenkins" because of his love of knives and guns. A basketball player, the 6'1" 180 Lb. player always played to win. Worked for US Forest Service one summer. A dreamer whose high school yearbook announced "Expect the best from your Future." Drove a 1972 GMC pickup named "Huey" had EMT training and loved animals. Took a year's study in crimnal justice to become a police officer. Joining the US Marine Corps as a member of the 1st Combat Engineers he was killed in action in Operation Desert Storm around the Saudi border town of Khajfi. Awarded Purple Heart and Combat Action ribbon. Son, brother, Friend, Marine who gave his all.
