Funeral services were held for Ahalean Dison at the Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Homer today (Tuesday May 15, 2012) at 10 a.m. Interment followed at Holly Ridge Cemetery. The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Dison was born July 13, 1928 to Mason and Mandy Simmons. She entered into rest Saturday, May 12, 2012. Mrs. Dison was a member of the Trinity Chapel Assembly of God.
Mrs. Dison was preceded in death by her parents, Mason and Mandy Simmons; her husband of 67 years, Rayford Dison; three sisters Marlene, Evalene and Paulene; and two brothers Hoyt and Grady.
She is survived by six children, R.L. Dison and wife, Frances of Haynesville, Robert Dison and wife, Yvonne of Springhill, Linda Jimenez and husband, Coco of Stonewall, Connie Dison of Shreveport, Ronnie Dison and wife, Kathy of Sarepta and David Dison and wife, Shirley of Mt. Holly, Arkansas; 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
