MRS. CLEMENTS PIONEER DIES AT HOSPITAL
..Sarah Emily Clements, 85, pioneer of this area, died Tuesday at Memorial hospital. She had lived in what is noW Hot Springs county 58 years.
..Mrs. Clements was born March 17, 1867, at Spanish Fork, Utah. She came to what was known as Andersonville, across the river from the Old Town of Thermopolis in 1895 with her husband, the trip being made by means of covered wagon. Her husband, Albert Clements, freighted from Casper. He died in 1944 and is buried in Monument Hill cemetery. For the past three years Mrs. Clements has made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Enderly, at their ranch east of Lucerne.
..She is survived by her daughter, a son, Leslie Clements of San Jose, Calif., who is here for the funeral service. A daughter preceded her in death. Also by four grandchildren. A Granddaughter Mrs. John Hope, is here from Salt Lake City for the services.
..The funeral will be held Sunday at 2:00 o'clock at the chapel of Mortimore Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. James L. Barber, and the Mortimore trio will sing "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old rugged Cross". Interment will be in Monument Hill cemetery.
..Casket bearers will include Isaac Harris, Bill Larson, Merle Gardner, Lew Skinner, Everett Slane, Ben Slane.
