Louis A. Crouse, 88, of 1411 Market St. retired plasterer. died at 6.25 p.m. April 1, 1949 (Friday) at the Williamsport Hospital where he was admitted three days before. He was. born July 30, 1860, son of the late Charles and Jane Crouse and had lived his entire life in the same neighborhood. Mr. Crouse was the oldest member of the plasterer's union, the Operative Plaster and Cement Finishers Association of the United States and Canada.
Surviving are eight sons and daughters; Mrs. George Thomas, Mrs. Nora Slack, Mrs. Albert Durrwachter, Irvin, Ralph, and Robert Crouse, all of this city; Mrs. George Sands, Jersey Shore; and Mrs. Russell Dorman, Endicott NY. His stepmother, Mrs. Mary Crouse, city; a half sister, Mrs. Helen Hone, city; 22 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the residence, 1411 Market St. The Rev. David L. Long. pastor of Market St. Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial is to be in West Wildwood Cem. Friends may call at the funeral home 7 to 9 o'clock Monday evening.
