Helen L. Barndt, a former long-time resident of Telford, PA, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014, in Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Twp., PA. She was 96.

She was the wife of the late J. Russell Barndt, who died August 9, 1966.

Born in Ambler, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Katherine (Zearfoss) Linde. She was a 1935 graduate of Ambler High School.

A homemaker most of her life, Mrs. Barndt had also worked as a key punch operator in Data Processing for Harleysville Insurance, Harleysville, PA, from 1960 until retiring in 1982.

She was a member of St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, Perkasie, PA.

Mrs. Barndt's interests included needlepoint, puzzles, canning and freezing, and she loved to mow her yards.

She is survived by two sons, David R. Barndt and his wife Sylvia, of Perkasie, and Richard J. Barndt and his wife Carol, of Jamison, PA; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and James, and three sisters, Ruth, Elsie and Grace.

Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 3, 2014, at St. Andrew's United Church, 615 E. Walnut Street, Perkasie, PA 18944, where family and friends may call from 10:00 AM until service time. Interment will follow in the adjacent St. Andrew's Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie.
