Howard who married Mary Jane "Jennie" Sikes, daughter of Thomas J. and Samantha N. Sikes; and Ella Pearl Howard who married Ben Hill Bryant.

Nona married Joseph Chesley Sikes August 7, 1898 in Etowah Co., AL. Joe and Nona's children: Verna Leona Sikes Johnson, William Chester Sikes, Naomi Sikes Halcombe, Ruth Sikes Brown, Mary Vesta Sikes Gray, Mantha Sikes Lovvorn, Arthur Joe Sikes and Beatrice Sikes Kilgore Hauswirth.
