Died in the Springtime of Life

In our last issue we made brief mention of the serious illness of the young son of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Baker, but, probably before our paper had reached some of our subscribers, his little soul had winged its flight to that invisible Beyond.

George Faust Baker breathed his last at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, in the presence of his sorrowing parents, a victim of spinal meningitis. The little fellow was aged 4 years, 4 months and 5 days. Bright, intelligent, possessed of a lovable disposition, his absence from the family circle will be greatly missed. Father and mother had kept constant vigil at his bedside and at last when the end came the faithful mother was prostrated with grief and over exertion. The sickness of the mother precluded the possibility of interring the body at Saltsburg as intended, and therefore he was laid to rest in Rumbarger cemetery. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Rosenbaum, of the Lutheran church. Those present at the funeral from out of town were Rev. Baker, of Allegheny, and Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Baker, of Ridgway. Brother Baker, and his estimable wife, have the heartfelt sympathy of the printing fraternity and other friends in this, their sad bereavement.
