Donald Eugene Hills, 70, went to be with his wife Carole, mother, father, brothers and sister on Aug. 7, 2004. Don was born Dec. 19, 1933 in Salt Lake City to Walter Henry and Rhea Lavon Gray Hills. Don was the patriarch of our family. He left a void in our hearts that time will never fill. Don married Catherine Gray in Salt Lake City in July of 1951. They had two children Cathy and Craig, and were later divorced. Don married Carole Ward in Las Vegas Feb. 23, 1954. They were soul mates and spent 47 wonderful years together. After Carole's passing in 2001, Don's time was filled with playing on his computer, making sure his yard was kept to perfection and mostly taking care of his two best friends, The Duke and Nikki. Don was found in his home by family members, his two little friends barking loud as they could to let anyone at the door know there was a problem and Don needed help. Don is survived by daughter Cathy (Michael) Gettings of Oak Ridge, TN and son Craig D. Jones of Rosamond, CA, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with two more coming soon. He is preceded in death by his soul mate, Carole, his parents, brothers, Bud, Roy, Ken, Walt, Earl and sister Bonnie. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and wonderful neighbors. Graveside services held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10060 S.
