She was born in Evansville on July 17, 1932, the daughter of Homer and Bessy Beach.
She graduated from Gaston High School. Hazel spent her career in the Social Security Administration as a claims adjuster, retiring in 1986. She was a member of Normal City United Methodist Church and her hobbies included traveling, especially to Florida in the winter with her husband.
Survivors include her two sons, Gary L. Fulton (wife-Teresa) and Bruce A. Fulton (companion-Bonnie); five grandchildren, Lindsay, Ryne, Chad, Josh and Megan Fulton; seven great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Robert Fulton; and her niece, Mary Smith (husband-Norman).
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 41 years, James L. Fulton in 1992; and her brother, Bernard Beach.
Services will be 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Thursday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
