Mr. MOORE had been ill for several months. He was one of Pitt county's most prosperous and popular farmers. He was held in high esteem not only in his own community but throughout the county. Mr. MOORE had been a member of the Rose Hill Free Will Baptist church for fifteen years at the time of his death, during which time he had been of great service to the church. He was a friend to everybody always helping those less fortunate than he.
The deceased was survived at the time of his death by his wife who before marriage was Miss Mittie COX; two daughters, Mrs. Arthur HADDOCK and Miss Mae Belle MOORE; three brothers, Messers Bud MOORE and Johnnie MOORE of Cox's Mill and Mr. Harvey MOORE, of Philadelphia.
