Olin E. Worthington, 88, of Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Angola died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, in New Haven.
Mr. Worthington had retired as a quality inspector at Zollner Corp.
He was a past president of the Ashley Town Board.
Mr. Worthington was a member of the Moose and Elks lodges.
He was a past treasurer of the Martinique Association of Fort Myers, Fla.
He was born July 29, 1920, in Fremont to Chester Earl and Eula Bell (Grim) Worthington. He married Irene Groshon on Feb. 12, 1949. She survives in Fort Myers, Fla.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Marsha
Worthington of Fort Wayne and Dave and Patty Worthington of Auburn;
grandchildren and their spouses, Amy and Brad Saleik, Joel and Kristy
Worthington, Jamie and Josh Beck and Josh Worthington, Jonathan & Jessica Worthington; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Wilma Butler and
Viva Jean Ransbottom; and two brothers, Russell and Max Worthington.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday January 3, 2009 at Beams Funeral Home, with calling from 9:30 A.M. until service time. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery
at Fremont.
