Leonard Kenneth Love of Wilsonville, who died Jan. 23 of causes related to age. He was 80.

He was born Feb. 21, 1914, in Junction City, the descendant of pioneers who settled in Oregon in the 1850's. he was raised in Junction City and lived there until his graduation form college.

He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Oregon. He was a veteran, having served as lieutenant in the US Navy. He was employed as a teaxher at Marshfield High School in Coos Bay until his retirement in 1976.

His memberships included the Blanco Lodge No. 48, A.F. & A.M. of Coos Bay and the Doric Chapter No. 53, Order of the eastern Star in Coos Bay. He was also a member of the Christian Science church.

Following his retirement, Love and his wife Martha, lived in Mesa, Ariz. for seven years. They moved to Medford for four years, then in 1988 moved to Portland, then to Beaverton in 1991 before moving to Wilsonville in 1992.

He is survived by his wife.

Private burial will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland. Memorial contributions may be made to the audio-visual department at Marshfield High School in coos Bay. Ross Hollywood Chapel in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
