Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov 17 at the Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka for Ben B. Crain, former Toronto resident. He died at his home in Kansas City, Kansas Nov. 14, 1983.
Ben Crain was the son of Andrew and Nellie (Ducan) Crain. He was born June 22, 1910 in Hallowell, KS.
He was united in marriage to Opal Scott of Toronto in Iola on Oct. 6, 1940. They made their home in Kansas City where he followed his occupation as a carpenter. They moved to Toronto and lived there for six years before returning to their home in Kansas City.
Crain was a member of Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Kansas City, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post No. 325 in Toronto, KS.
He is survived by his wife, Opal and one sister, Matilda Wilson of Hutchinson.
Interment was in the Toronto, Kansas Cemetery.
