Riley O. Gatts,54, an employee of the arizona compress and Warehoues co, died saturday morning in good Samaritan Hospital where he had been a patient for 10 days. He had been a resident of Arizona since 1935 and for the past 17 years had lived at 1230 E. Garfield.
Funeral services will be at 10am. Monday in the Chapel in the Garden. Mercer Mortuary, 1541 E. Thomas. the Rev. Stephen O. Redacre, Pator of the First Church of Christ. will officiate. The Body will be taken to Ardmore. Okla. for Burial.
Mr.Gattis was born in Denton. TX and came to Yuma in 1935. He Came to Phoenix in 1939 and soon after his arrival here was employed by the Arisona Compress and Warehouse Co.
He is survived by his Wife Beulah of Phoenix; a daughter, Mrs. F. Cliff Winters of Dayton OH; a son, Glenn who is serving with the US Navy and lives in Alameda, CA; a brother, three sisters and five grandchildren.
