Francis Jouno Chilton Times October 6, 1883

We are again called upon to chronicle the death of an old and respected citizen of our county. We refer to the death of Francis Juno, which occurred at his residence in the town of Chilton, on Monday, September 24th, 1883, after a long illness. Mr. Juno was a native of France, and was born in Fourmine, Nord Departement in that country, Dec. 7th, 1820, and was therefore in his 63rd year. He came to America in 1839 and settled in Pennsylvania, afterwards removing to the town of Russell, Sheboygan county, locating there about the year 1854 and after eight years residence moved to the town of Chilton. He was united in marriage Sept. 18, 1842 to Catherine Royl, who bore him eight children, five boys and three girls. Four of the boys and the girls survive him. Mr. Juno, in every neighborhood where he resided, was loved and respected for his worth and manliness. He was a good neighbor and friend, and his departure from earth is regretted by all. The funeral took place from St. Augustine's church on Wednesday, and was attended by a large concourse of sympathizers and friends.
