GRIPPIN—In Bridgeport, Conn., Feb 14, 1889, of diphtheria, Allie J., son of T.B. and Carrie Grippin and grandson of A.J. Grippin of this village, aged 6 years.
One sweet flower has drooped and faded,
One sweet infant voice has fled,
One fair brow the grave has shaded,
One dear schoolmate now is dead.
Dearest Allie, thou hath left us,
Here thy loss we deeply feel,
But it's God who hath bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal.
