Born to John and Ellen (Longshaw), brother to Ellen Mott Sharples, William, Ernest, Florence Mott Fieldhouse, and John Mott. Husband to Elizabeth Blease, whom he married July 1891. They lived in Chorlton On Medlock, and Southern Manchester. Elizabeth and Fred had 2 children that we know of John born 1892 and Harold born 1896.

Documented address was: 25 Nut St., 8 Clarendren Rd. West Chorlton C Hardy. Their family trade was "builders."

Fred and family moved from Manchester to Sydney, Australia NSW. They sailed on Orient Line Steamship to Orsova from London in April 1912. They lived at Rose Bays in Sydney's eastern suburbs. Fred returned to the UK without his family onboard the SS Remuera in 1916/17. He left his estate to his housekeeper Lily Pollard. Elizabeth stayed in Rose Bay(Sydney) Australia with her children until she passed away in 1953.

According to www.burialmanchester.uk Fred is buried in the same grave as his parents Position #4....Name not on headstone....In Loving Memory of Ellen, wife of John Mott, died April 2nd, 1897 aged 49 years. Also John, son of above, died August 22nd 1890 aged 5 Years. Also of the above John Mott, died December 7th, 1930, aged 87 Years. "At Rest."
