Joseph W. Snyder Funeral Held Last Saturday, June 23, 1962 at 2 p.m. from the Skiatook First Methodist Church.
Mr. Snyder was Born Feb. 1, 1913 in Parsons,KS., and passed away at his home on Rt. 1, Skiatook, on Friday, June 22, 1962 from an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Snyder came to Oklahoma in November of 1926. He has been a Skiatook resident for the past 11 yrs., coming from Tulsa. He had been employeed by the Marshall Supply and Equipment Co., Tulsa, as a salesman for 23 yrs. Mr. Snyder was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Skiatook American Legion Post 131, had served as president of the Skiatook Band Parents Association and was active in the local Boy Scouts program.
Surviving are his wife Effa;a daughter, Katherine and a son George, both of the home; and two sisters, Miss Anna Snyder of Tulsa and Mrs. H.T. Dwire of Shreveport, LA.
Rev. Howard Roberts officiated with interment made in Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery, Sand Springs.
Casketbearers were John Buthod, Al Curtis, Jack McKenna, Clete Wheeler, Joe Dibert and Fred Robbins.
Peters Funeral Home, Skiatook, was in charge of arrangements.
