Fred Strother Adams, 79, of Mortons Gap, KY passed away at 10:55 a.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Tradewater Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dawson Springs, KY.
He was born on June 27, 1933 in Madisonville, KY to the late Henry Adams and Cordie Bryant Adams. He was formerly a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church in Mortons Gap.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Minnie Ruth Wilkerson Adams and his brother, Roy Lee Adams, Sr.
He is survived by his son, Charles Adams of Mortons Gap; his brother, William Adams of Madisonville; four grandchildren, Landy Adams, Matthew Adams, Joshua Adams and Caleb Adams; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his nephew, Roy Lee Adams, Jr.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 in Grapevine Cemetery in Madisonville.
There will be no visitation. Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
