Walter Matthew Finnacom was the son of Charles Alfred Finnacom and Bertha (Cook) Finnacom. He was born 17 June 1883 in Washington DC. Walter was a small man and as a young man, the family states that he raced Sulkie horses. Walter was a plummer for all his adult life and according to family he apprenticed in WV. His first place of busines was on 10th and G. St. There his also lived on the second floor of the business with his wife. In a few years he moved to 3013 20th St. NE which was then the suburbs of DC. There he also had his business. Walter died 9 January 1956 of Cancer. His daughter Virginia and her husband were living in his home at the time and cared for him.
