PEPPARD, ARLIN—Arlin Peppard was born March 24, 1927, in Bosworth, Mo., son of Carl and Gladys (Garren) Peppard and unexpectedly passed to his eternal reward the evening of December 15, 1975. He was 48 years, eight months and 23 days.

He was married to Norma Ritchey on June 24, 1955, in Kansas City, Mo. God blessed their home with one daughter, Melea and three sons, Mike, Marty and Monty, all of the home in Geneva.

September 22, 1974, was a happy day for the Peppard family. Both the parents and three of their teenagers were baptized and received into the fellowship of the Faith Church in Geneva.

A special interest of Arlin’s was that of building houses. He loved to build them just like he wanted to build, with his own ingenuity and craftwork. He finished three homes with a fourth in process this winter.

As one of the trustee board of Faith church, he offered to submit some blueprints for consideration of a ten-classroom and pastor study addition. A special memorial fund was opened for Arlin’s dream project.

Survivors include his wife, Norma; one daughter Melea; and three sons, Mike, Marty and Monty, all of the home in Geneva; his mother, Mrs. Gladys Peppard of Geneva; one sister Norma Brewster, and husband, Albert, of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Calvin Ritchey and wife, Esther, of East Berlin, Pa., and many other relatives and friends.

Services were held at Faith Mennonite church in Geneva at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 18, with Rev. Walter Regier, officiating. How Great thou Art” and “Beyond the Sunset” were sung by Mrs. Clarence Najmon and Miss Susan Najmon with Mrs. Walter Regier as organist.

Pallbearers were Ray Kuhns, Robert Clark, Tom Ousey, Everett Renken, Bailey Livings and Melvin Schnegelberger. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
