Robert Nikolaus Edin was born July 10, 1904 in Overammer, Jamtland, Sweden to Nikolaus Valfrid and Hilda Karolina (Eriksson) Edin. He was the oldest of 6 children. On June 4, 1942 he married Iris Martina Fellstrom, and they had five children: Karin Gun-Britt, Bert Ove Nikolaus, Gudrun Ingalill, Martin Torbjorn, and Ulla Gunilla Martina. Of the children, all lived to adulthood except Martin Torbjorn, who passed away as an infant. Robert Nikolaus died on March 5, 1991 in Jamtland.
