Mrs. Millicent C. Broaddus.
Mrs. Millicent C. Broaddus died at her home, 101 East Cary Street, Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock. She was the daughter of Charles W. and Susan Cole Jones, and the wife of the late James M. Broaddus of Caroline County. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Anne R. Jones, of Ashland; six sons, Ruben T., Charlie C., Jennifer, John A., James M. and K. Malcolm Broaddus: thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild and the following brothers and sisters: Robert W., C. Beauman, M. Henry and Susie L. Jones, of Caroline County; Mrs. Mary R. Glover, of Coffeeville, Texas, and Mrs. Laura Jones, of Hanover County.

Mrs. Broaddus was a member of the Second Baptist Church, of this city, and until recent years, when her health began to fail, she was deeply interested in the Christian activities of the church and community. She was gentle in her manner, patient in her sufferings, deep-rooted in her faith. Her devotion to her family was as beautiful and untiring.

The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. T. C. Skinner, D. D.
