Helen J. Dernbach died Jan. 11, 2000, at age 79. A private graveside service will be held.
Mrs. Dernbach was born May 22, 1920, in Beaverton. Her maiden name was Holboke. A longtime Milwaukie resident, she was a homemaker and a Catholic. In 1941, she married Richard I. Dernbach; he died in 1985.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Masterman of Milwaukie; son, Thomas of Portland; sisters, Mary Anne Peterkort of Hillsboro, Barbara Lombard of Pasco, Wash., Henrietta Liu of San Jose, Calif., Virginia Gallien of Portland and Caroline Burgess of Napa, Calif.; brothers, Edward Holboke of Portland, Frederick Holboke of Garland, Texas, and Theodore Holboke of Boring; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Peake Memorial Chapel.
