Ackers, 84, died Dec. 20, 1985, at
the Good Samaritan Center, Dodge
City. Born Oct. 18, 1901, near Hydro,
Okla., he married Mabel Hostetler
Sept. 8, 1934, at Kinsley. He
was a retired schoolteacher and
was a resident of Dodge City since
1979.

He was a member of the Church
of Christ, Dodge City.

Survivors: wife, of the home;
sons, Marvin E., Dodge City, Gary
K. and Frank E., both of Baltimore,
Md.; brother, Frank T. Ackers, Albany,
Ore.; and three grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Swaim Funeral Home,
Dodge City, the Rev. Lynn Wilson.
Burial will be in Maple Grove
Cemetery, Dodge City. Friends
may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home and
from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the
funeral home.

Memorials may go to
the Maude Carpenter Children's
Home, in care of the funeral home.
