Dorothy M. Appleby, 75, passed away Sept 18, 2004, after battling through several strokes. A loving mother and grandmother, Dorothy retired from Burt/Thycurb, where she was a secretary. Preceeded in death by her mother, Louella Ellison, and sister, Barbara Dixon, she is survived by her son, Bill (Chie) Appleby; daughter, Beth (Jeffrey) Lucas; father, Willard Ellison; brother, Jim (Margie) Ellison; sister, Joann (Richard) Hood; grandchildren, Jace and Tyler Lucas, and Brian and Jeffrey Appleby. Friends may call at Bacher Funeral Home, 3326 Manchester Rd., from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be held Thursday at 1:00 PM, with Dr. Charles Billington officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
