Mr. Brantley was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County the son of the late Edgar J. Brantley and the late Lily Salter Brantley. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and formerly worked for the Washington Manufacturing Company. Mr. Brantley was a member of the Kendall Heights Church of God and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is predeceased by his wife Lula Pauline Sanders Brantley and his daughter Melissa Brantley Morrison.
Survivors are: his daughter, Betty Jean (Ben) Williams of Riddleville; granddaughters, Wendy D. Newsome of Milledgeville and Nicole D. (Rick) Mead of Augusta; son-in-law, Brandon Morrison of Sandersville; great- grandchildren, April Williams, Hunter Morrison, Ashley Morrison and Tristin Newsome and his sister, Sara Dunn, of Tennille.
