Adam Craig Weeter, 28, of Knox, died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012, at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, due to complications in his battle with leukemia.

Born March 23, 1984, at the former Franklin Hospital, he was a son of Mark A. Weeter of Knox and Lori L. Craig Weeter of Knox.

Adam was a 2002 graduate of Keystone High School where he participated in football, baseball, concert band and choir and was an honor student.

He graduated cum laude from Clarion University in 2006, earning a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in coaching and middle school math.

Adam had a great passion for teaching children. He taught at the Dynard Elementary School in St. Mary's County, Md.

He attended the Chapel on the Hill in Emlenton, along with other area churches. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and coaching football and baseball.

In addition to his parents, Adam is survived by three brothers, Aaron Weeter and his wife, Monica, of Oil City; Benjamin Weeter; and Vanessa Varndell of Etna and Jordan Weeter of Knox.

Also surviving are Adam's grandparents, Allen and Donna Weeter of Knox and William P. Craig of Sligo; a niece, Macy Weeter of Oil City; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his girlfriend, Monica Borusiewicz of Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Grant Craig in 1988, and an aunt, Jamie Yoder.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the William N. Rupert Mortuary, Inc., 430 Mendenhall Ave., Knox.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, in the Knox United Methodist Church, 628 W. Railroad St., Knox. The Rev. Colin Koch, pastor of the New Hope Church in Clarion, will officiate.

Interment will be in Knox Union Cemetery.
