John Edward Shupp Sr., 41, of Sandyville, W.Va., passed away Nov. 7, 2009, at his residence.

He was born in Parkersburg, the son of the late Charles Shupp Sr. and Patricia Ann Shupp of Belpre, Ohio.

John was a longtime employee of St. Moritz Security spending most of his tenure at the WesBanco Main Branch as Security Officer.

In addition to his mother, Patricia, he is survived by his fiancee, Chrystal Sullivan of Sandyville; his sons, John Shupp of Dexter City, Ohio, Bryan Shupp of Washington, W.Va., and Blake Shupp of Sandyville; his brother, Charles Shupp and his wife Cora of East Liverpool, Ohio; his sister, Debbie Persinger and her husband Charles of Parkersburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father in October of 2006.

Funeral services will be Monday 1 p.m. at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg. Interment will be in the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
