Services were read at two o'clock Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Bergeron, of Melville. Rev. M. S. Robertson and Rev. W. B. Wall officiated. Melville chapter 22, Eastern Star, of which the deceased was a member, conducted ritual at the Melville Methodist cemetery.
Mrs. Slater is survived by a son, Bobby Gibson, with armed forces in Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Andrews of Joliet, Ill.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bergeron of Melville; and one sister, Mrs. Sally Soileau of Melville.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Lafond and Son.
