Roger Eugene McGee, 78, a former Fort Collins resident, died May 11, 2003, at the VA Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. He was born May 25, 1924, in Cody, Neb. He moved to Fort Collins in 1956.
Mr. McGee served in the Navy during World War II. He retired as a mechanic and construction worker.
He was a member of Antique Automobile Club of America, Centennial Antique Tractor and Engine Club, American Legion Post No. 4, VFW Post No. 4171, and the local 720 Labor Union. His hobbies included restoring Model T Fords, stationary engines and antique machinery.
Mr. McGee was a devoted husband and loving father.
He is survived by a son; four daughters; two sisters; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Jo McGee on Nov. 28, 1991; and a son, Robert E. Boone on Jan. 7, 2003; both parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
