Mary was the daughter of George and Sarah Zinn. On March 18, 1869 in Lewis County, West Virginia she married Gilbert M. Marsh. They were the parents of John W., Porter L., Glenne G., Minnie V., Gilbert Brant, C.Woodford, R.C., Sarah B., G.C. and Lola Ada.
Her obituary follows: The Weston Independent, Tues. 3 May 1904: MRS. G. M. MARSH, wife of Squire G. M. Marsh of Vandalia, and mother of our townsman, J. W. Marsh, and Editor Marsh of the Glenville Stranger, died at the family home at Vandalia Tuesday of last week. Remains interred Thursday.
