Bobby "Bob" Joe Holdridge passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel, honoring Bob's life. Interment: Rose Hill Cemetery.

Bob was born in De Leon on Aug. 6, 1934, to the late Floyd and Neva Holdridge. The Holdridge family moved to Handley when Bob was a young boy, where he resided until his death. After his retirement from Brown & Blakney, Inc., he enjoyed spending time in his workshop, creating woodcrafts for family and friends. The family would like to thank the staff at Life Care Center and Vitas Hospice for the care they provided. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Lena; great-granddaughter, Christine Schroeder; brothers, Tom and Jerry Holdridge; and stepson, Jerry Young.

Survivors: Left to cherish his memories are his daughters, Deborah Schroeder and husband, Bradley, of Rhome, Tammy Collins and husband, Walter, of Haslet; stepsons, Ricky, Terry and Donnie Young and Leon Albright; brothers, Harold and Glen Holdridge; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a various host of stepgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
