WILMINGTON -- Irene Brock Carroll, 87, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter. Mrs. Carroll was born February 27, 1925, in Duplin County to the late Ransom Brock and Nancy Inet Jones Brock.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by sons, Ransome Henry Carroll of Wilmington, Raymond McNeil Carroll of Castle Hayne, and Patrick Scott Carroll of Wilmington; daughter, Sue Guy of Selma; and sisters, Esther Brock of Kenansville, and Belle Brock Davis of Rocky Mount; five grandchildren, Jonathan Carroll, Meredith Carroll, Chris Carroll, Justin Carroll, Scotty Carroll and two great-grandchildren, Bennett and Avery McSwain.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by husband, Ransome Carroll; sons, James Ray "Jimmy" Carroll and R. C. Carroll; brothers, Needham Brock, Jack Brock and Ransom Brock; sisters, Callie Brock, Eva Miller, Gertrude Brock and Clarisse Jones.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012, at Community Funeral Home of Warsaw, Inc. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in Community Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial in Brock Family Cemetery.
