During his early life he came with his parents in 1885 to Nebraska. He grew to manhood in the Platte Valley neighborhood near Cozad, Nebr. From there he located at Litchfield, Nebr. in 1902. In 1905 he married Fannie Benson of Litchfield. To this union was born three children, Frank Williams, who passed away in 1918, and Robert M. and Floyd E. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Gill and their two sons and one grandchild.
He also leaves to mourn his passing, four brothers; Frank, Clark and Ed of Cozad, and John of Omaha, and one sister, Bertha Hart of Arnold. A host of friends in this community mourn his passing. He was a member of the Litchfield I.O.O.F. Lodge.
Mr. Gill was a man of kindly disposition, never causing anybody trouble. Wherever you met him he was always the same, calm, collected, cool and serene. His last illness never caused him much suffering, although he suffered much discomfort, having an affliction which caused him to slowly starve to death. Mr. Gill will be missed much by friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Thursday afteroon at 3 o'clock, Rev. Kier officiating. Litchfield lodge No. 190, I.O.O.F. attended in a body. Interment was in Litchfield cemetery.
