Mrs. Abbie Elizabeth Brunner, 90, of Thurmont, died Saturday, July 7, at Citizens Nursing Home, Frederick.

Born Nov. 10, 1910, in Friendsville, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Sarah Christina Vansickle Brunner.

She is survived by 10 children, Iretha Leach and husband Wilbur of Fort Gaines, Ga., Elmer Eckenrode of Westminster, Leroy Eckenrode Sr. and wife Etta of Libertytown, Playford Eckenrode and wife Ann of Clarksburg, W.Va., Iva Krenzer and husband Charles of Thurmont, Melvin Eckenrode of Pennsylvania, Ross Bob Eckenrode and wife Hattie of Woodsboro, Anthony Eckenrode of Friendsville, Rodney Eckenrode and wife Pinky of Westminster, and Vonnie Becker and husband William Jr. of Fairfield, Pa.; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Naomi Brunner of Friendsville.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Stauffer Funeral Home Chapel, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Interment will be held at a later date in Friendsville.
