Wesley L. Parish, 31, 1820 S. Selby St., died at Parkview Hospital at Fort Wayne on Wednesday morning, after a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Mr. Parish was a native and lifelong resident of Marion. He was a bass player with the Bobby Penn music group and a former mechanic for Bar-McClain Trucking Co. He was a member of the American Federation of Musicians, Local 45.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Wayne and Jerry, and one daughter, Lisa, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Clifford (Ruth) Parish, Marion, and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Poe, Wabash.

A funeral service was held on Friday at Diggs Funeral Home, 504 W. Third St., with Rev. Walter Baumbaugh officiating. Burial was made in Grant Memorial Park.
