Wife of Aubrey(1930-Present). Mother to Karen (1959-present), and Carl (1961-present). Was a very sweet woman. She was quiet and very soft spoken. She was born in Norway to Reverend Edwin Ravnan (1895-1978) and his wife Edna(1902-2000). The family moved from Norway to the United States when Elizabeth was young, but returned frequently. Elizabeth had a strong Norwegian accent. In February 1959, she married Aubrey Hamlow. They had two children and five grandchildren. They enjoyed many years of travel together. They built a beautiful home in Denair, California. There Elizabeth raised roses and had several hummingbird feeders. She loved hummingbirds. She was a great lover of animals, especially dogs. Her daughter Karen in the early 1990s brought her two black lab chow mixes. She named them Maisy and Daisy. Since Elizabeth's death no one knows which is which, one of the dogs still lives and wonders the property. Aubrey Hamlow grew tired of farming and moved to San Jose in the late 1980s. Elizabeth preferred living in Denair. She and her sister took care of her elderly mother, Edna who died in 2000 at age 98. Elizabeth's health began to decline. She was placed in an assisted living in Turlock, California. She was delighted to be in the facility with her good friend and husband's cousin Pauline Burke. The two of them and another woman named Angie were like three peas in a pod. It was a fleeting trio. Elizabeth was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in mid 2002. She was in and out of treatment. Meanwhile, Pauline died suddenly in January 2003. Elizabeth had recovered from the cancer, and after a bout with chemotherapy she lost her hair. She was mortified when it grew back salt and pepper. There was little time to worry, she died suddenly on June 24, 2003. She is Missed.
